THE NATIONAL CONGESS OF AUSTRALIA'S FIRST PEOPLES
MIAT supports the work of the National Congress of Australia's First Peoples and encourages people to become Friends of the Congress. The application form to become a Friend is on line at: http://nationalcongress.com.au/friends-of-congress/
This Grace was given by Amelia Dunkerley, a student at Mount St Benedict College, before dinner where the Guest Speaker, Dr Stuart Edser, spoke on "Being Gay, Being Christian":
God, Creator of all People,
In a universe that seems so immense,
it is easy to feel insignificant as we come together here tonight.
Yet we know that we are precious in your sight,
unique individuals - loved and blessed for our differences
in so many ways.
We come together to share wisdom and knowledge,
to extend the hand of peace,
to walk in another's shoes.
We stand in awe of the one who has created all things
and dedicate this time and all our days to your service.
We are thankful for the gifts you have given us in this meal we share.
Accept this offering we pray, our sacrifice of praise and worship.
Amen
